The school summer holidays were once again a triumph, thanks to Wellington Town Council who organised free entertainment from the Bowring Park (next to the Bowring Pavilion) every Wednesday during the holidays from 11am-1pm.
Families and friends enjoyed the outdoors whilst being entertained by Flip the Clown and Jon Drew from Elementary Entertainment on alternating weeks. The sun was kind and it was brilliant to see so many local residents and children enjoying themselves in one of Wellington’s many lovely community spaces.
Alongside fantastic live entertainment, families also had the chance to meet a variety of local organisations offering friendly advice, support and information in a relaxed setting. Representatives from services including Learn Telford, Healthy Telford, Telford Mind, Telford & Wrekin CVS, Race Against Blood Cancer, Fostering for Telford & Wrekin and the Telford & Wrekin Council Here to Help bus were on hand each week and subject to emergency call-outs, so were Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Mercia Police.
