One of Wellington’s most-loved community events will return on Saturday 28 November as residents gather once again for the town’s annual Christmas Lights Switch-On.

A highlight of the festive calendar, the event brings the community together to officially welcome the start of the Christmas season, with the town centre coming alive with festive entertainment and plenty of seasonal spirit. There will be entertainment throughout the day starting at 12.30.

As darkness falls, the countdown to the switch-on will begin, illuminating Wellington’s Christmas lights and marking the start of a magical festive period for the town. The event attracts families and visitors from across the area and provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Wellington’s town centre, support local businesses and celebrate the festive season together.
