From Friday 3 April to Saturday 11 April, Wellington came together to enjoy a family-friendly Sunflower Easter Trail in support of the Lingen Davies Cancer Support Sunflower Appeal, helping to raise vital funds towards a new Cancer Centre at the Princess Royal Hospital 🌻

Organised by Love Wellington and proudly sponsored by Wellington Town Council (Shropshire), the trail offered a fun and engaging way for families to explore the town during the Easter holidays. Participants were invited to collect a trail map from Wellington Orbit before setting off on a journey around Wellington, discovering participating businesses along the way.

Once all locations had been found, the trail concluded back at The Orbit, where children were rewarded with an Easter treat 🍬, making it a memorable activity for families and visitors of all ages.

The initiative saw a fantastic range of local businesses taking part, helping to bring the community together in support of an important cause. Participating venues included DB Roberts Property Centres, Mannleys Sales & Lettings, Wellington Community Library and Residents Hub, The William Withering Wetherspoons, Cash Providers, Wellington Community Art Gallery, Golden Scissors Wellington, Cash Converters Wellington, Boardroom Gaming Café, Samaritans Wellington, Baker and Son, Wellington Orbit, Zoe Trends, Park Street Kitchen, Sofia’s Coffee Shop Wellington, The Little Green Pantry, John Biddle Opticians, Rizzo Hairdressing, Barbers Estate & Letting Agents, Wellington Cobbler, Brenda’s Bags, Beautiful Bargains, Lesley’s Larder, AJ’s Kitchen Wellington, and Sweets Galore.

Love Wellington would like to thank all participating businesses, sponsors, and everyone who took part in supporting the Sunflower Appeal. The trail not only brought families into the town centre but also highlighted the strength and generosity of the Wellington community in coming together for a meaningful cause.
