A new chapter begins in the heart of Wellington! Join us for a fun-filled community celebration as we mark the grand opening of the Wellington Community Library and Residents Hub.

This free, family-friendly event is open to all and promises a day packed with activities, entertainment, and community spirit.

Event Highlights:
10am: Ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Reg Snell
11am & 1:30pm: Storytelling sessions (with the Deputy Mayor and Library team)
All day: Children’s craft activities, a LEGO station, and a scavenger hunt
Free goodie bags for the first 50 children
2pm: Baby Bounce & Rhyme session for under 5s

“With over 3,000 registered users and 66,000 items borrowed each year, it’s clear that Wellington Library is a vital part of the community,” said a spokesperson for Wellington Town Council. “This celebration is a great chance for everyone – both new and regular visitors – to explore what’s on offer and meet the friendly team.”
